High School Senior Portraits -Joyner Park Wake Forest

Warren had an interesting 2020. His dad works for a company in China, so they’ve been living there for….. a long time. This past early March, he and his mom came to the US to visit family over spring break -and …. surprise, they got stuck here. So – Warren had to enroll in a whole new school for his senior year. He’s met this challenge with a smile and I know he’s going to do great in College next year, wherever he goes. Thanks for spending some time with me dude 🙂

High School Senior – City and Farm Portrait Sessions

Senior sessions are usually up to two hours long – to accommodate some outfit changes and a couple different locations. But, when H’s mom mentioned they had a barn out in the country where H trains & rides, but they also wanted some sleek downtown photos, we knew we had to go with two sessions to really show off her two sides.

First up, was at her family’s riding center. It’s a gorgeous property with a lake and sweeping pastures – so we took our time and worked with four of her horses for various images.

Then a couple weeks later, she did a 180 and showed up downtown in a silk outfit and then a pair of leather pants. DANG. She owned these sessions for sure. Check her out and let me know what special places you’d go if you could go anywhere for your session.

High School Senior Portraits at the NC Museum of Art

Another student from St. David’s School who wanted to go out and play for a while. She brought several (really fun!) outfits and we had a great time creating artwork for her. She went Glam, and Playful and Trendy – and she brought tons of attitude to go with each outfit. I had such a great time working with her and I know in the future she’ll be able to look through the custom album we created for her and remember how much fun high school was.

High School Senior Portraits Downtown

Corey is a super easy going guy. I worked with him for his yearbook portrait at his school, but he and his family wanted something more. Something that had a little more personality. They knew they wanted a whole album full of fun photos of him, and you can’t get that from a yearbook mini session. So – we met up downtown and spent some time checking out all the ally-ways and little tucked out of the way spots. I found something new this time I hadn’t seen before and it was PERFECT for a senior. See if you can figure out what it was 🙂

A Wakeboard & a Tux – two things that go hand in hand (right?) | Raleigh Senior Photographer

So, I had the fortunate opportunity to do some environmental portraits of a whole class of high school seniors this past summer.  They wanted something a little different with a little more personality than the typical ‘tux & drape’ formal senior yearbook photos. So instead, I went to their campus and photographed them there, in their element – and it was AWESOME.  But, that’s another post all together.  I tell you that to tell you that’s where I met Kevin.  Kevin goes to that school, and realized that while 15 minutes on campus was still better than your usual yearbook photo -it still wasn’t enough.  He wanted to do something waaaaay cooler.   So we met up one morning at 730 (yawn!) and spent some time in and the Free Expression Tunnel on NC State’s campus – then we headed to Centennial Campus where he got IN THE WATER IN HIS TUXEDO (what?!) with his wakeboard.   Right on, Kevin!

Thanks for a fun senior session Kevin, and Good luck in the rest of your senior year!
