Here’s the thing. You probably see a TON of family photography with little kids – like preschoolers through elementary school. But you know what? Those kids grow up and while in these sessions we aren’t trying to capture their lost tooth, or their tiny hands – we are trying to hold on to something maybe even more precious and fleeting… the time that these ‘kids’ are even still living at home. I’ve been working a lot more with families that include high school and college age ‘kids’ and they all share a similar story. I keep hearing that they haven’t had family photos done since the kids were little, but now they realize that their kiddos are LEAVING and “ohmygosh we have to have one more family photo”. Yes, you do.
